![]() I even tried creating a systemd service for eth0 figuring maybe systemd attempts to run my enp0s25 service BEFORE its actually labeled that (as systemd hasnt renamed it from eth0 yet), but that didnt work either. I have checked the systemd log, and the only thing I can find relating to the device is that systemd renames it from eth0 to enp0s25 during the boot process. I am hoping someone can tell me what I am obviously missing, because im at the point of just adding a single command exception to sudo and executing the command with xinit/openbox autostart when I startx. I can follow the process of systemd by reading your replies, but admittedly I have no idea what %i designates. ![]() Again, I can immediately put it down by manually entering the ip command. However, the device still starts at boot. Sudo systemctl enable note that it ln's as usual. The name of your ethernet (or wifi) interface is important to know. After booting you can select your preferred distribution of course Arch Linux and start installation. ![]() May 30 11:08:25 NiXToP systemd: Unit rvice entered failed state. Then my suspicion is that the windows pc has network sharing turned on so it gives your pi an IP but your linux pc does not have this function or its not turned on so its not giving pi and IP. A record of my installation steps of Arch Linux on a KVM-based VPS server via Live CD. Not exactly sure how you connecting the pi to windows 10 / arch linux.īut if you are plugging the LAN cable in to your pi and directly in the the pc with windows 10 or the pc with arch linux on, Type ifconfig to display the interface and check your IP address. Though I have connected it over WiFi, to both, Windows and Arch, but I want to connect it by ethernet cable. The ifconfig command of Raspberry Pi is giving ip address to connect when I connect it to windows(via ethernet), but ifconfig returns no ip when I connect Raspberry Pi to Arch. Pi is succesfully connected to my windows 10 using ethernet cable but it is not connecting to my arch linux. There's a problem in connecting my Raspberry Pi 3 to Arch linux via ethernet cable.
